every now and then i found myself back to where no one can hurt me. and although my mind is cluttered with what if's, should'ves, could'ves and would'ves, this place clears my thoughts but only for as long as i'm on the run. i've always enjoyed the outdoors especially the lakes, the beaches, the cliffs, and the mountains. some of my favorite solo spots, i've never had the chance or taken the time to share it with anyone. in away that's good because lately i've been hanging out there an awful lot but to have memories there with someone you love as well, would only defeat the purpose of my solo spot.
a place to clear my mind and feel at peace with myself. it's been awhile since i've put on my running shoes to get away from it all but for the past couple months..that's all i've been doing...running. i guess it's the forrest gump in me. i don't ever want to stop. i want to keep on running until my mind is free and my heart is whole again. today i ran 6 miles and i think i sprained my ankle. my knees are getting weak.
they're not as strong as they use to be. but that doesn't stop me...my run turns into a jog, then a walk, and ultimately a limp...i don't care...whatever it takes to keep going. i start to feel the pain even more. it hurts. at one point, i'm stopped by a roller blader. i'm not sure if he was hitting on me or actually wondering if i was ok but it doesn't phase me...i kept going. i'm not sure how much longer i can do this.
my body says to stop, my mind says to keep going, and my heart calls out your name. i dunno...i guess i conflict with myself but what i do know is that i'm definitely running on empty....
