I love BitTorrent. It's great. I can download at speeds of 100-300 kb/s. That's better than the 30-60 kb/s I've been getting on other p2p programs. There's one thing that annoys me though and that is the fact that it takes an enormous amount of memory to run. Each torrent that I have downloading is taking about 13-14 megs of system memory. I just had three torrents open. System performance shot down. Even with two torrents open, I can see the difference just typing this thing up. It's probably because it's written in Python. Python isn't the fastest language out there. I guess I'll just wait until the C port comes out.
