so meredith had this claim where the other person's insurance company called her up and said that one of our guys hit one of their guys and they were going to subrogate to us for damages.
so meredith called our guy up and he was like, "no, i wasn't in any accident" and she was like, "we're going to have to send someone out to look at your car to prove that you weren't" and the guy was like, "well, i sold that car, it's on its way to california". so she had to deny the subro claim from the other company because there was no proof that we were involved in the accident. soyeah. so today some girl from the other guy's insurance company calls meredith back and says that she talked to our guy's pastor and that the pastor told her that our guy felt guilty and confessed to him that he was in the accident. i don't know how the girl from the other insurance company came about talking to the pastor. i mean, i don't think pastors are supposed to take information that is confessed to them and go running to insurance companies or other authorities.
did she call him up? i mean, isn't that some sort of violation of some code? i mean, isn't there like, some sort of confidentiality thing? like dr/patient or lawyer/client? that's just so weird! then the girl from the other insurance agency told meredith that she told the pastor to tell our guy to do the right thing and own up to the accident. like she would need to tell a pastor that. like he wouldn't know to say that on his own. weird.
of course, he's talking to people about things that have been confessed to him. i dunno. maybe it's different for other religions. but i always thought that when you went to confession and confessed to a priest he couldn't go around telling people about it. huh. anyway. i thought that was weird.
