In summer the owners like to take us out for lunch. They're also taking us to the theater in June. They don't worry about keeping track of everyone, knowing that we'll show up eventually and work our requisite time without needing Hourly Hitler breathing down our necks. They let us learn new skills and expand our experiences in quiet times. We have close relationships at the office and there is little to no politics.
Ordering a new monitor for everyone is not a huge undertaking. We have NO security on the server because there's nothing that the non-existant HR department should keep seperate from the non-existant marketing people. I am the HR and Marketing department. I talked them into summer hours this year. That's something to put on a resume. "Chief supporter of summer hours policies. "
