Thoughts on turning a quarter century... I saw the Disney Peter Pan movie when I was four. I went home and cried, and cried, and cried. I knew, like Peter, that I never wanted to grow up. I mean, highschool students had homework to do (gasp!
), University Students had the life sucked out of them, and adults, well - you didn't see any of them enjoying the jungle gym at the park. Nope, definitely had my heart set on staying four, forever. I used to believe that if I jumped high enough off the steps of my back porch I would just continue on up into the sky. If I jumped really really really hard, I would escape the bounds of gravity and I would FLY. That's what I used to wish for before I became aware of money. Now my happiest dreams are the ones where I'm performing Swan Lake, and I hit those 32 fouettes without a stumble.
In fact, after the 32 turns, I keep going - my balance is perfect, I can spin forever. I have these dreams a lot. If I found a magical lamp with a genie in it, I would still wish for a lot of money, but I would also wish to be four again. This time, I would jump high enough and I really would fly. And every night I would have my spining dream and grow up, just like that.
