After reading this article on urlLink Feminism "Lite " I am further appalled at the citizens of the United States of America for electing George W. Bush into the most powerful office in the country (perhaps the world - but that's another argument). After reading the last two paragraphs of this article I was horrified to learn about Bush's supporters, his committee memebers, his tendencies. Take this guy: "Dr David Hagger, who opposes legal abortion, refuses to prescribe contraception to unmarried women and wrote a book suggesting bible reading as a treatment for premenstrual symptoms, sits on a medical panel overseeing contraception.
" Are you kidding me? Bible reading as help for premenstrual syptoms?! God give me patience (and it won't come from reading the bible). Has this man ever been within choking distance of a woman with cramps? Men: is this what you want for your wives, mothers, sisters, friends? A woman doubled over in uterine contractions, feverishly reciting Genesis 1.1?
