Misery And Worry I went to bed too late last night and got up too early this morning... I'm very tired, mentally and physically. Physically because of the lack of sleep, but mentally because of my finances and my job situation. I called the spa place today and found out the hours are no good for me. I'd have to be up at 6am everyday, way too early for me. If I had a gig on a Friday night, I'd be going onstage at bedtime. Same problem with practice nights. So now I'm debating whether or not I should quit my band and get a good job or stick with my band and get a crappy job.
It's a real dilemma for me. Mom is off tomorrow so we'll probably run around to a few places so I can put an application in (still no reply from HSN), but my choices are very limited. I'll probably end up at Arbys or Burger King... fast food... just what I want to be doing at 35 years of age.
I think I'm going to try for Costco first though. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the bus stop every day and then a 20-30 bus ride, but I hear they are a great company to work for, that they value their employees and care about them (take a lesson, Wal-Mart), so it's worth it to me to at least try and get in there. In "Roadhouse Blues", Jim Morrison sang "The future's uncertain and the end is always near"... and that's exactly how I feel right now.
