Work Sleep Work I stayed up late pulling basketball cards for my auctions and went to bed around 4:30-5am. I was out of bed again by 7am. I just could not sleep. I worked on card stuff for awhile more before heading to bed again, sometime around 9am. I "slept" until 6pm. I tossed and turned and layed there awake more than I actually slept. I got out of bed feeling completely unrefreshed. I wound up working on card stuff after getting up too. I scanned cards and listed auctions all night.
I found some old Star Wars Finest cards that I had stored away for a couple of years and listed some of those too. I'd noticed, entirely by accident, that some of the Refractor parallels from that set were selling for up to $20.50 each, so I listed all 7 that I had. Man, it would be nice if I was actually able to make enough to buy the amplifier I need. I'm sure I'll make just a little more than enough to pay my bills and that's all.
Certainly not enough extra to do anything important with, probably enough to buy a CD or two and pay for my band rehearsals. Like I've said 1,000 times in the last few months: I need to get a job. But when? I need to get a day job so I can make music at night, but I'm having a really rough time switching over to daytime hours. I don't remember it ever being so hard to do before, but it's kicking my ass now and keeping me from getting the job I so badly need. I don't know what the problem is. Most of the time, I just can't get comfortable enough or sleepy enough at night, but other times, I might be dead tired, totally beat, and I still can't fall asleep. I just don't know what the problem is. It's like my body won't let me sleep until the night is over and the day has begun.
Maybe I'm a vampire and don't know it. A big fat slacking vampire... Count Slackula. "I vvvant... to suck... your blood... dude. " Whatever the problem, it is a big problem and I need to find some way to resolve it. I absolutely have to get a job, and fast.
