Monday Stuff I had trouble getting to sleep again last night. Either Mom or the A/C guy messed with the thermostat and it was too warm for me.
I got up around 4:30am to lower it. I wound up sleeping until 1:35pm. It was still rainy out and I was very cozy in my cool room and warm blankets. I could have stayed in bed much longer. I was supposed to check into that 3-hour school job today, but I didn't. Instead, I started a couple of projects (I am still the King of Procrastination). First I went through my favorites folder and re-organized my links and folders. Then I went through my extra tapes and pulled out about 250 that I definitely want to sell (everything I have more than two of).
If I can start getting up early again, I would like to set up a booth at the flea market or else hold a yard sale. I might list them on eBay just to move them, but I would probably get back less than what I have into them. Speaking about tapes, my sealed Steely Dan box set arrived today (the one I paid $8.89 for), and to my surprise, there were no tapes in the box.
Instead, there were CDs. Very strange. I think it's some factory screw up because the box said "cassettes" on the outside, but there were 4 brand new CDs inside. Unfortunately, the booklet to the box set was missing also. Weird. I guess I should be happy that I got CDs instead of tapes, but being extremely anal about my CDs, I'm not.
I would prefer to have the CD box and booklet to go with the CDs. My sister called my Mom and wants us to watch all three kids on Friday night so that her and her husband can go out. I guess they're planning on coming back here after they're done and spend the night here with the kids. Everytime I want one of the kids down it's a major hassle, my sister'll tell me that she needs to see if they want to come down first (half the time, when I talk to the kids later, they tell me she never even asked them), but it's funny how, when she wants them down (or when their grandparents want them), it's not up to the kids.
Also, whenever I try to make plans with them, without fail, they wait until the last minute to make up their minds, which, also without fail, stresses me the hell out. I told Mom to tell them "We'll see" this time, that we're not sure what we're doing that night yet. Give them a taste of their own medicine for a change.
