Stop Me Now, Before I Bid Again! A broke-ass guy, with no job and absolutely no self-control, just shouldn't have access to eBay. I barely squeezed by paying my Gateway bill this month, I have my student loan bill due next week, my nephew Austin's birthday next week, and my Mom's birthday next week. I will need $9-12 for next Thursday's band practice (I don't know whether we're booked for 3 or 4 hours), and I need money in my eBay seller account so I can list more auctions next week.
On top of all of that, I owe several people money (Mom, JP, Paul K., my sister). In short, I most definitely should not be buying stuff for myself. But I just couldn't resist. I bid on and won 2 auctions tonight. I won two Jimi Hendrix limited edition, Japanese Mini-LP CD's (deluxe packaging that mimics the original LP's) for about what *one* of them usually sells for. I got them both, "Axis:Bold As Love" and "Electric Ladyland", for a total of $31.36 (that includes insured Priority shipping). The last "Axis:Bold As Love" Mini-LP sold on eBay for $27.99 (not including shipping) and I haven't seen any "Electric Ladyland" Mini-LP CDs on eBay for weeks (which indicates how rare it is), but it would go for about the same amount, if not more. So... I got myself a great deal, but it just is not a good time for me to be spending money on myself.
I need a job, now, more than ever. Tuesday Blues, Pt.2 Just to follow up... I called JP and talked to him about the changes I made to his song and he seemed fine with what I did. I emailed him the new arrangement. The Gateway tech guy never called. I left a message, and it was early enough in his shift, so he should've gotten back to me. Hopefully, he'll call me tomorrow. I really don't want to do it with a different tech guy since this one seemed to be one of the better tech people at Gateway.
