Sunday Runnin' I got to bed late again, slept badly, and once again, I got up early... go figure. I started to watch "Hamlet" again (the Olivier version), but then Mom came home and we decided to go out.
She was hungry, so we hit Longhorn again and chowed down there. We both tried the Pork Ribeye this time (it was pretty good) and I also had a caesar salad and a side of chili (very good). We were talking about trying a dessert, but there was no room for any. From there we rode to Sound Exchange and I bought a few CDs, 2 Rodney Dangerfield CDs ("No Respect" and "I Don't Get No Respect") and a Jimi Hendrix CD ("Live At Winterland", a BMG record club version, still sealed). I wanted to order some CDs that I'd been looking for, but the guy at the counter wasn't very helpful. He got his info from allmusic.com, a site I visit regularly, and a site which also features a link to Barnes & Noble, where I can just order the CDs from myself... no need for Sound Exchange at all. Dumbass. From there we went to Specs and I bought a few more CDs (Albert King "Born Under A Bad Sign", Rodney Dangerfield "What's In A Name?
", and Saga "Worlds Apart") and a Hendrix DVD ("The Making Of Electric Ladyland") which was on sale for just $7.99! Wow! Mom pointed it out to me. Good thing she was there or I'd have missed it. On the way home we stopped at Dunkin' Donuts for Cooladas and of course, the machine was down again. We went to a different one and had better luck there. So... that's about it for the money I made from the gig last night, it didn't last long.
The rest of the night I unwrapped and listened to CDs in my room (nd noticing that the covers of all three CDs I bought at Sound Exchange are a bit fucked up: some bent, some creased) and worked on cleaning up the tape situation in my room (I have tapes everywhere). Still haven't folded any clothes yet... Uh oh, gotta go, "The Sopranos" is coming on!
