JP's Visit He didn't stay very long, but we got a lot done. We went over a bunch of songs mostly making sure we in agreement with the arrangements and changes we've made to certain songs over the past few months. He was fine with the changes I made to the arrangement of his song "Yesterday's Girl" and he also liked the riff and the solo I added to his "There For Me" as well. This Thursday we're working on our third setlist, which contains a bunch of songs we haven't played in a long time, so it was good that he came by like he did.
He said he's going to try and come over a little early on Thursday too. He told me that Jimmy got his electric drum kit for home! This is very welcome news. Hopefully he'll refresh his playing skills and get back to his previous level of play. Before JP left he played a little bit of a new CD he bought, The Peter Malick Group featuring Norah Jones, which sounded very good. he asked me if I knew about the "Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues" series, and I whipped out the Jimi Hendrix CD I have from that series and played him a couple tracks. He was pretty impressed. I don't think he's ever heard Jimi play with an organist or sax player before.
Afetr he split, I got online and saw that I received a new Paypal payment so I sent eBay some money and listed and re-listed a bunch of auctions tonight. Hopefully I will make some money with them. I guess I'd better get to bed; I want to get up in the morning and get my mailings done and get looking for a job.
