Okay - I'm going to make it. But damn, am I busy. Sunday is mine. What's that, you say? It's the Sabbath and it belongs to the Lord? Not this week it doesn't.
Sunday belongs to me. And I'm going to be in my apartment after church gets over putting my life back in order. I need to stop booking things in like this. I may cancel my dentist appointment for March 15th just so I can have that weekend to unwind. I'm sick of traveling everywhere all the time. I never thought I would say that - ever.
But it's not so much the doing as it is the lack of time for anything else. I think if you do anything for too long with nothing else, it gets old and frustrating. That's what's happening here. Lauren's been great through all of this. She's been getting a little frustrated with me having no time, but she knows where I'm coming from. I think it helps that both of us see an end to this madness.
I don't think I would be doing as well as I am without her to make me feel better when I need it. I miss my apartment and my roommates. I miss Lauren. I miss Lauren being here. And I miss those times I could just be here with time to kill. If this is what growing up's all about, I may need to reconsider.
Student teaching is going well. I feel a bit out in left field sometimes, with me running choirs and no Joe in there to catch me or assist with problems. Like today - choir 7-1 was horrible with their behavior, and I don't really know yet what I can and cannot do for punishment. I suppose I will figure it out. It went okay. Lots of snow outside.
I wish it would just keep on snowing through tomorrow morning. I could really use a real day off. But like I said, I'm a long way from being defeated. Takes a lot to lay me on my ass, and I'll keep on fighting till I can't push any more. I just wish I wasn't always so tired. If you can spare a minute, send a quick email to Lauren at wildefrost@yahoo.com and tell her how great she is.
Oh, and tell her I told you to do that, too. :)
