Ladies and gentlemen, would anyone care to discuss the state of the economy as it relates to the unemployment factor? I, myself, am gainfully employed and enjoying a great deal of job security in that I perform work making sure that a utility (California's PG&E) conforms to state legislated ordinances enacted for fire prevention. In essence, a law created my job. Does anyone know, or living, any stories of folks living that dream of sitting around all day being poor?
I have a friend, Ted, back in Michigan who says that the Detroit area is one of the worst places in the country right now as far as unemployment goes. He is, coincidentally, unemployed. Used to work in the banking biz, he did. (that's my Yoda-nese, I guess) I don't know exactly what happened to him, all I know is that he ain't workin'.
