STOMP was the greatest ever. it was better then i expected. it was creative, and expressive and made me want to have a talent full of bursting energy. it also made ian, staci, kirby, natalie and i want to be in the show. the best part of the night, besideds the show it self was coming out of the metro station, when we all went hoping and bopping down the hall making our own version of a beat.
that is a moment i want to store in a bottle on my dresser and whenever i feel a little glum, open it and remember how wonderful i felt in that moment with my friends, acting like a fool and not caring at all, b/c i was with them.
got in a little trouble with my ma and pa cause i didn't call home, and well made them worry, which made me feel gulty, but hey, whatcha going to do. my punichment is having to write my summer program essay by the end of the week. hehe. gotta love them for trying. saturday morning i left with staci and her family for Homestead. a 5 star ritzy-ditzy hotel and skiing resort to go skiing. (for the first time ever! ) when we got there after the 3 hour ride we had lunch and then went snow tubing. which was like sledding with out the work. they pull you up the hill, then you slide back down, so fun.
that night we had plans for dancing the night away, until we foundout that it was only for those 21 and over. pooh on only being 17! we watched american pie 3 and got all rested up for the day ahead. we had a yummy breakfast with anything you could ever ask for and then went and got skis and had a little beginners lession.
surprisingly i caught on after a little while and out of any sport i have every tried to learn, this one i have to say has been the best match. after a few trial runs on the learners course i went onto the bunny slope and had a the wonderful rush of the wind in my face and the thrill of speading down a mountin. our lessions were over and staci desided to go back to the gynormouse hotel, and i kept skiing. but i wasn't alone for long.
as i was getting on the lift i heard someone behind me ask to get on with me so he did and we started talking. and his name (or his middle name, which he goes by) is Banning, and he has been skiing and snowboarding for over 7 years, so he was uber good. he wanted me to go to the top with him, and i said no b/c it was about my third time going down at all, but maybe next time. so i went down, then he got on the lift with me again and i said what the heck and went to the top with him and tried my hardest to go down the blue slope...tried being the key word, after getting about half way down by falling, i took off my skis and he took them down to the bunny slopes as i took the walk of shame.
it all good i laughed each time i fell, needless to say i spent a lot of time laughing. i spent the rest of the afternoon just going down the bunny slope laughing my head off having a great time. it was really a lot of fun. banning helped me out a lot and was good company. after he left i went back to the hotel and had afternoon tea!
but no crumpets...but little sandwiches with out the crusts. then staci and i played two games of bowling in this palce called a 'hotel' but i tend to think of it as a whole city. then we had sherly temples and popcorn at a bar and played pool and darts. staci owes me her first born child. we went back to the room b/c i was pooped. got a surprise call from banning and had a few more laughs.
took a minor nap then had a loverly room service dinner, then watched some TV and fell asleep. we got up the next morning and drove home. i am a little sore, but it was worth it. surprisingly my arms hurt more then my legs, i am guessing from when i was on flat ground and tried to use my polls to pull me along. meeh. i had a great time and i can't wait to go skiing again! natalya and i made some SPANISH chiros and chocolate sause. we hall see how senior fuck face likes those.
