This morning I went to the mall while Megan was at VBS. I was just going to sit at the food court and read or maybe wander about looking at all of the things I'd buy if I actually had money to spend. Then I remembered Matt telling me the Christian book store had moved and that I needed to check out all the improvements they'd made. Woo-hoo! It's awesome! It has all the perks of Barnes & Noble (cafe, couches, atmosphere, music, etc) and it's Christian.
I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time there when I go to the mall. Today I went in looking for a book on healing from church inflicted wounds either for Tim to read or for me to read and try to gleen something from to help him with the healing process. I didn't find anything. Instead, God in his wisdom lead me to purchase "A Wife After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George. I read the first chapter sitting in the store and what a co-inky-dink...it blends right into what I'm doing in the First Place study and what God is working on in me.
Imagine that! I think I'm really going to enjoy this book and get a lot from it so if you don't mind, I think I'll be sharing it with you as I go along.
