It's Tuesday, baby, oh yes...(heavy emphasis on sarcasm there). Not much goin on today, and school was so average that nothing even remotely interesting or worth mention happened. Maybe this is the proverbial calm before the storm. The storm being the Dashboard Confessional concert on Thursday night and the long awaited pep rally the following Friday morning. It seems to me like October is a month jam-packed with fun and excitement, for me anyways. With events such as pep rallies, a free day on the 11th, a Dashboard Confessional concert, a Gwar concert (Gwar rocks!!!
), the Octoberfest, Halloween Horror Nights, and of course, Halloween itself. Not convinced that October is the coolest month around? Well then you must be gay. I went to the doctor today, they took my blood! Those bastards. As if that weren't enough, they forced me to pee in a cup. (Come on guys, one or the other) Will someone please tell me who thought of making people pee in a little cup in order to run tests on them. For that matter who the hell thought of draining people's blood out of their body. (That stuff doesnt grow back you know, they take your blood and its gone for good) Sounds like some fuc*in vampires or somthin....On second thought, who gives a damn about the guy who invented this crazy sh*t. But hey, if you're reading this, do me a favor and go study some more pee, fag. Now that I got that out, I can tell you about my first blood (kinda like Rambo hehe) experience. First of all, I was completely unaware of the fact that I had to get my blood taken. I thought I was just gonna have to pee in my little cup, and get out of there.
Simple enough right? But no, I walk in there and the nurse is like "sit down" and i'm like "alright" but I'm still not for sure whats going on. Then she wraps a armband thing tightly around my bicep like i'm some sort of heroine addict or something, and at this point I realize what she's about to do. So naturally, I start laughing. Because as a very smart man once said "Against the barrage of laughter, nothing can withstand", if you think about it it's true, it's a cool saying, and one of my mottos (the other being "Don't stop, get it get it!"). Anyways, the nurse tells me to squeeze this apple thingy she put in my hand, when I did this my vein got really big and visible, and i'm thinkin "oh god".
Man let me tell ya, if you have never had your blood taken, it is crazy. They stick a needle right in that big a$$ vein by your elbow and blood just flows into the container. They don't just put it in there for a couple seconds either, it's more like a minute, and for me, they filled up two containers.
The whole time it's going on I was in a state of delirium, half due to the lightheadedness that comes from blood loss, and half being derived from my thoughts of "ahh its not over, geez this is taking forever, whats going on this crazy b**ch is f**kin sucking my blood". Seemingly for extra affect, my nurse was black. So she was all like "put cho arm right chere sucka, squeeze dis fool, hold still while I steal essential parts of your anatomy from you". I'm just kidding, she was pretty cool. Besides the fact that she is a blood and urine thief. How could someone do that for a living anyways??
When we left the doctors office, my dad and I went to the car repair palace to pick up the van. There were lots of stereotypical grease monkeys abound, and plenty of technical car talk for weeks. After the guy gave my dad a full report on the car it was time to take it home. And since it was just me and my dad, I was forced to drive it home.
What a bummer... Although technically this was illegal, since I only have my permit (only 10 more months to the day I get my license!!! ), who's gonna stop me? So that was pretty fun, it was the first time I've driven a car without my parents in the passenger side. It was rather easy too, not that it would be hard, i'm just sayin. Wow, that's 2 firsts in one day, not bad huh? Not bad at all.
