I HATE San Francisco. So this week I have to spend my days in down town San Francisco for Microsoft Certified Profesional training. No problem, I can deal with only a week in that crappy, over crowded, dirty city. WRONG!! This morning I get all turned around and have a hell of a time just finding the place. When I find it I spend anothe 20 minutes locating parking. I get all parked and the damn meter won't take my money. Nothing like a 40 dollar ticket risk for two bucks worth of parking. I sure as hell wasn't gonna try and find another place to park though! So at 8:30am I park the bike and get off to class. At 10:00am I come out to check on my bike and try to feed the meter. I am met with a lovely surprise. Some damn homeless person puked all over the back of my bike!! It was absolutly nasty. By now all bike parking is full so I am stuck with leaving the bike where it is.
Who the hell gets so messed up that they are blowing chunks before 10-friggin-A.M.?!? When I went to leave, it got even better. I look around and homeless person is nowhere in sight. I crouch down and remove my disk lock. Stood up just in time. Homeless person comes walking by and hurls right in front of my bike! Splatter on my front tire and rotor, splatter on my shoes. So I just give her the look of astonishment that says "what the hell?". BIG mistake. Never, EVER look at a homeless person.
That is just asking for it. She started flailing her arms about, shaking a fist at me, and calling me jezabell and a few other choice words. Mostly stuff you would call a hooker and quite a bit of it biblical in nature. I have come to a few conclusions from my experience. - I have no desire to visit San Francisco for anything, ever. - I have lived a sheltered life - I wish to remain oblivious and be sheltered.
- I have never actually been scared before. It wasn't until I was safely on my way that I realized I was scared. I did not like it. - As scary as the homeless woman was, it is sad that there is no family or anyone who cares enough about her to care for her.
